Looks like I missed August's report! 💩 Sorry. And I won't lie. September had my boat parked for the last 3 weeks. Yeah, I had some repairs to do with a new plug and a rear transducer replacement. My GT56 wire was cut in two places, like someone used wire snips. Weird!
Anyway, we had a "False Fall" event in the first week of September. Record lows into the mid 50's. Felt quite nice! But the fish freaked out. Scattered, they did. Then we had a slight drought before a massive rain event. Just couldn't catch a break. Here's the good news: Cool weather is coming, soon.
The thermocline is still present at 83 deg surface temps. But I suspect the turnover is coming in Oct. This will make the fishing bad... but only for about a week. Once we get past the turnover, things should get good quickly!
Fall and Winter are very good times out here.
Come Attack the Nac!
