5.28.2024 FISHING REPORT

May started off with ridiculous rain. The lake was up over two feet and the bite got tough. Most of the post-spawn fish stayed shallow, for the most part. This had us throwing square-bills in the floating timber, mostly. Then the conditions got much better and we ended the month very strong. The Memorial day weekend produced some quality fish, including a nice 7.01lb chunk on a War Eagle spinner bait. We had a Saturday morning session in which we caught over 20 fish above the 3lb mark. Spinner, Chatter, and the BrushHog got most of these quality bass.

Here's our new friend Larry P. with one of many that day.
