3.28.2026 FISHING REPORT

So, here we are at the end of March. I wish I could tell you that we slayed the big pre-spawn females ahead of time, but we just didn't. Biggest was a 7.25lb, with a few 5's & 6's in the mix.

This spawn seems to have been delayed, a bit, due to the 4" ice freeze we had. Just about the time the February hot spell had the water temp up to 70deg, that freeze plummeted the temperature.

As always, this lake is HARD to fish for bed-fish. Too much floating timber on the north shores, and heavy grass makes it tough. Add that to the fact that these fish seem to bed deeper than average and you have a recipe for difficult fishing. But!! I think that may be a good thing. It leaves them alone to do their thing and produce more fry. In turn, that makes for 11 other months of good numbers.

I'll keep chunkin and winding, and pitching to the beds I can see. Hopefully we'll get a few bigs with that effort.

NOW is a good time to book for the upcoming post-spawn. It'll be fun, as always!

Come Attack the Nac!
