February was just weird. Started off with record heat, then we had a week-long ice storm that had us shut-in. Afterwards, the fish finally came alive.
What should have been all through January and February, finally showed up in the last week and a half of the month. The bigger girls started eating. My best this month was 7.25lb. And many 6-plus fish were caught in the last week. Now, we're in another heat wave with gully-washing rain on the immediate horizon. Let's hope for a little bit longer, before the full-on-spawn comes!
