What a wild year we had. Wild weather. Up and down fishing conditions. Big boat repairs and upgrades. And, unfortunately, no really big fish over 7lbs, this year. (Probably my fault) But, that's fishing. You never know, huh? But here's the thing: You can't catch'em if you don't go out and throw'em!
Don't get me wrong. We caught MORE than our share of bass this year. And we boated many in the 5-6lb range. Quality fish, for sure. Just didn't hit the lottery.
Several lures were the outstanding fish-catchers. Hard to day which of these came out on top, but the Megabass Karashi certainly sat high on the list, followed by the old standard under-spin and A-rigs. The jerkbait Jr plus-1 and trusty square-bill were always tied on. But, a recent addition that I'd like to get better with was the SPRO KGB Chad Shad. Yeah, I only boated a few towards the end of the year, but those were good fish. I see this working well until the spawn.
Now, if I can just make it a few months without getting my rear transducer's wiring chopped up, I'd be happy. That's a costly issue!
All-in-all, it was another successful year. I cannot thank my clients enough for allowing me to keep doing this gig. I sure do enjoy it!
Come back and Attack the Nac!
Way to go, C. Rose! On a topwater baitcast reel, no less! 🫵😎
