November went by quickly. The rain also got going a bit, finally. The lake turnover looked to be completely done, but a mid-month heat wave redeveloped a thermocline. This looks to have finally gone away.
Fishing was pretty good, but felt like it should've been better, given the weather patterns. The usual Fall suspects were responsible for the majority of the bites. Alabama-rig, deep-diving crankbait, and square-bill crank. However, the plus-1 jerkbait was a pretty solid approach. This came into play when targeting LARGE Crappie over the artificial reef. We ended the month with a nice Crappie haul, with 16 nice ones in the fry-pot.
I suspect that these lures will continue to be key over the next couple months. I'll let you know in Dec.
